preventing employment discrimination

Proven Learning Techniques

As with New Media Learning’s other training programs, Preventing Employment Discrimination is effective in large part due to its instructional design. The training includes common examples of potentially discriminating situations that can be experienced by employees on a day-to-day basis, and it is interactive – employees must evaluate these situations, and the training program then provides feedback and information based on their responses. The course helps employees understand what is expected of them and what they can in turn expect of others and their employer, and enables them to reflect on their behavior and decide to make changes if appropriate.

Anytime, Anywhere Training

Preventing Employment Discrimination resides on New Media Learning’s servers and once employees are given the organization’s chosen password, they can access the program anytime, from any computer, and New Media Learning will record their participation for management records.

Customized Management Reports

Management reports are delivered to designated recipient(s) every month to enable the employer to monitor activity and participation by business unit and employee ID and any other criteria the employer wishes.

Rapid Deployment

Customizing and implementing Preventing Employment Discrimination is both simple and quick. In a twenty to forty-five minute phone conversation with the human resource executive, New Media Learning gathers the information necessary to customize the program. The licensee provides its policies and other relevant information (images, forms, etc.) and New Media Learning creates a draft of the online training course and posts it to a staging (temporary) web site for review. Usually, the draft is posted within two weeks. The licensee may then request changes which are made as provided until the training program is ready for rollout to employees

Customized Content

Every course is tailored to enable employees to identify with the organization and their own working environment and make the instructional material relevant. Laws are laws, but working conditions vary by employer, and Preventing Employment Discrimination enables the employer to relate the laws to its particular working conditions so the training has meaning to learners. All New Media Learning courses are customized to maximize their relevance and effectiveness for users.

Up-to-Date Information

Course contents are updated regularly to reflect changes in the law or other relevant circumstantial developments. Other changes – such as an update in the organization’s policies or contact information – are also made promptly, generally within 24 hours of notification from the employer.

Cost-Effective Training

E-learning is accessible from anywhere at any time, allowing maximum flexibility for busy people who might not otherwise receive the training. The employer’s costs for training always include actual time of participation plus other time lost in reordering work schedules in order to participate in the training. E-learning enables all schedule disruption to be minimized and the on-demand availability of the training at all times enables employees to take it at their exclusive personal convenience, including the “last minute” if necessary, with no disruption or scheduling hassle for training organizers and administrators or other fellow employees.

Licensing

Course license fees are all-inclusive – including the customization work done for each organization, ongoing hosting of the training program, monthly management reports, support to human resources management, and all necessary ongoing maintenance and content updates
